A CREATURE IS STIRRING COMES TO THE STAIRCASE
After a successful run during the Hamilton Fringe, Justin Shaw’s latest solo show A CREATURE IS STIRRING is being remounted at Staircase Theatre on Friday, November 17.
This one person show is filled with hilarious holiday havoc, and chronicles Shaw’s first Christmas in Hamilton and dealing with the boiling pressures of a rodent problem in his apartment. A CREATURE IS STIRRING is “funny as it is heartfelt, this is also a polished, masterfully-told performance from a clearly talented storyteller.” (Beyond James)
Justin Shaw is a comedian and storyteller originally from Prince Edward Island (and if you’re also from Prince Edward Island, his dad probably knows your dad.) His previous solo show The 70 Mile Yard Sale was listed as “Beyond James Critic’s Choice” in the 2022 Hamilton Fringe Festival, and was the subject of his TV series Tales From Island Boy on Bell FibeTV1. He has appeared on Just For Laughs Toronto, Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out comedy show, has opened for Fortune Feimster, and tours regularly with Yuk Yuks across Canada. His debut comedy album Human Money showcases his down-home yet outrageous sense of humour, and can be heard on Sirius XM.
