In the coming months, watch for storytelling, skill sharing, panel discussions, lectures, comedy and so much more. ️FLOGGING IS FUN with cuff️
When people think of kink they often think of impact play, and one of the most well known instruments used in this kind of play is called a flogger. People unfamiliar with erotic (or “sensual”) flogging can wonder why something that looks like it is causing pain can also be a source of immense pleasure.
But… it is important to engage in this type of play with safety and skills as the highest priorities. Knowing what you’re doing adds immense value to the experience of both the giver and the recipient of the range of sensations that can be used and enjoyed. Many of the principles you will learn in this fascinating workshop may also be applied to other types of impact tools.
Your instructor is experienced, passionate about the art of flogging, and is an experienced instructor, having led many events hosted by Hamilton’s legendary Club Edge. In their own words:
“My name is cuff14662 however everyone just calls me cuff and the reason is that I am very prone to making off the cuff comments that even shock myself.
I attended my first munch in the West End of Hamilton in 2003, I decided that it was in my best interest to learn material on forums, as it takes my mind a little longer to process new material. I re-entered in 2005.
My passion lies within the art of floggers, through countless hours of practical time working with floggers.
I have been behind the handles of various floggers spanning over 15 years.
Flog on Garth!”
To start the class Mistress Cecilia will interview cuff by way of introduction, to learn about cuff’s history in the field of flogging. Then, there will be a helpful demonstration for educational purposes. You will also get to check out their own impressive collection of floggers.
The fun part: cuff will send you home with a practice flogger of your own!
As always, participants of every gender and/or sexual identity are 100% welcome!
Enjoy The Staircase Cafe for drinks and refreshments before you join us next door at the Elaine Mae Theatre, which is the small beige coloured building immediately south of the main theatre complex at 27 Dundurn Street North. The cafe opens at 7pm and will still be open after our event, so you and others can relax and chat or enjoy their regular Open Mic night.
Our events in The Elaine Mae theatre start at 7:30pm and wrap up at 9pm. Admission this month is $12.50 and includes your practice flogger. If you’d like to ensure your attendance with an advance ticket you may purchase one online with a suitable debit or credit card.
Please note: attendance is limited to individuals aged 21 and over.
Parking is available both directly behind the large red brick Staircase main building and on its south side, the one that’s adjacent to our event space at 25 Dundurn St North. It’s the small beige building at the corner of Dundurn North and Hunt St. (the one with the colourful bird mural on its south wall). You can join HOT In The Hammer from that side parking lot. Look for three steps leading to a white door.
