Monday Basics – Improv Drop In

Monday Basics is an open drop in workshop for all levels of improv comedy experience. Folks that have never set foot on stage in any capacity work along side seasoned improv comedy practitioners working on the basics of improv comedy. These basics are listening, acknowledging and committing; skills that are essential to improv comedy and the core of all communication skills. For decades staircase improv has worked to teach improv comedy basics in a safe and supportive environment. This supportive environment intentionally strives to avoid homophobic, racist, and sexist comedy tropes. Our volunteer teachers are both experienced improvisors and trained teachers. Come, have fun and learn improv comedy by accident.
