STUDIO THEATRE: The 6-Minute Memoir: Women Talking (In-person)

“Women Talking” is the theme of the 6-Minute Memoir event taking place at The Staircase Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7 and 9 p.m.

 Eight women will take to the stage to share true stories from their lives in six minutes or less.

 Featured speakers are Kristi Boulton, fresh off her award-winning solo performances at the Hamilton and Edmonton Fringe Festivals, Sonia Kumar, CEO of Body Brave who will share the story of her recovery from an eating disorder, Vivian Chong, a visually impaired performer and creator of the recent one-woman show “Blind Date,” Richelle Tavernier, who  has more than 30 years of experience as a musical theatre performer bringing stories to life on stages across Hamilton, Toronto and New York as well as retired Hamilton educator Pat Dickinson, executive coach Ellen Malcolmson, activist Lorie Rotenberg and academic Laura MacGregor, each of whom has completed or is working on a memoir.

 The event will be hosted by Anne Bokma, a Hamilton journalist, author and memoir coach.
